Old McDonald's Farm

Maddie and I had a blast visiting one of our local pumpkin patch/farms. Old McDonald's Farm is located about 20 minutes north of downtown Chattanooga in Sale Creek, TN. We grabbed breakfast that morning and headed off down US 27 to discover the fun and adventures tucked away on a family farm.
The farm was beautifully decorated.

And kiddie rides that provide kids a chance to hop in the saddle and enjoy a trip around the farm being pulled by a tractor.

And you could even try your hand with the blow-ups.

Or enjoy the company of the local animals.

Maddie loved the goat area and even decided that we needed to take one home with us.

And she gave lots of kisses to all the animals.

And we almost attempted these slides but both changed our minds when I became dizzy from the heights and she wasn't big enough to manage the climb up to the slide.

And then there were the baby animals.

And Maddie's favorite animal, the chicken. :)

Overall we had a blast! The fee for adults is $10, kids under 2 are free, and you can even go on a hayride out to the pumpkin patch to pick out your own pumpkin. We did not. After walking for 2 hours in animal poop I decided I wasn't carring a pumpkin to the car along with everything else. Next year, though, we'll definitely plan to pick one up. :)
