Reading Is Always Fun

Maddie loves reading. She's all about Dr. Seuss right now. I think it's the rhyme that fits her fancy. We have baskets full of books around the house and Maddie picks through them to find just the one she's looking for. After reading her this Go, Dog, Go book, Maddie sat down and read it to herself. She pointed to pictures, turned the pages, and simply enjoyed her independent ways with literacy.

That is amazing. I have met parents before that don't even have a single book in their house for their children to read. It is very important to start that young.

I wish my 16 month old could look at books without ripping the pages. We have to stick with hard books for the time being.
