{Product Review} Capresso Coffee

I truly enjoy a great cup of coffee. One of the first things I do after hoping out of bed {I'm a morning person} is to brew a fresh pot. I actually drink a cup with my morning work out and then enjoy another one on the way to work. Then, to relax at night, I brew up another pot and sip on it through out the evening as I enjoy family.
So, when I was contacted by Staples to review a coffee maker I was first excited and then surprised that the leading office supply company dabbled in coffee, but then again, if you've ever worked in an office setting, well then, you certainly know how much coffee is consumed there. 
So, I searched through the large supply of machines before I settled on the Capresso CoffeeTEAM GS 10 Cup Digital Coffee Maker . The actual reason I chose this brand was simply because it was a grinder coffee machine. Back in the day, I use to grind my own beans with a small hand held grinder, however, I've never owned a machine that actually grinded then brewed...I was ready to give it a go.
For the past week, I've enjoyed freshly brewed coffee from my Capresso CoffeeTEAM, and let me simply say, I'm very satisfied. 
This machine has many great features from the 2 to 10 cup size to selecting the intensity of your brewed coffee. There is also the handy Stop-and-Serve technique where you can pull out the canister while it's still brewing to pour a cup. 
There is also a 2 hour safety shut off so that if you ever leave the coffee on while you run out to do errands, your Capresso CoffeeTEAM will simply take care of it for ya. And, I love the water filter that comes with it to remove all chlorine taste, this is a first for me and it really makes a difference in how the coffee tastes. Also, you don't only have to use whole beans with this machine for there is a brew mode where you can use filters and ground coffee. I love this option since I ran out of whole beans this week and still had some ground coffee available. There is a digital clock on the front and you can even program the machine to grind/brew coffee. I haven't tried it yet...I'm more of a hands on kind of girl.
Overall, I couldn't be happier with this product. I am highly pleased with the item and would recommend it to anyone looking for a great coffee maker. The price ranges right around $200 but I believe it is well worth it. This is a well built machine that will be around for many more of my coffee making years.

Shari's Berries

Shari's Berries is best known for specialized bakery gifts. Upon first arriving to the site, I was happily greeted with a gallery of pictures, displaying the multitude of cakes, dipped fruits, cookies, and more. I felt as if I was a kid in a virtual candy store, so many items to choose from, so many items to try!  My first instinct was to go with the chocolate dipped strawberries but then I reconsidered, I needed something even sweeter. And that's when I thought of my daughter, Maddie, who loves cupcakes with a passion. Actually, she just loves the icing on the top and then kindly passes over the cake to Momma to help finish it off. I figured Maddie and I would be in hog heaven if a dozen cupcakes arrived out our door on Halloween. What a treat that would be!
So, I cruised the cupcake section and quickly began drooling over my options. Which ones should I choose?  This was seriously an issue until I noticed the words, "caramel, red velvet, and peanut butter." There it was, the dozen I'd been waiting for. 
I quickly placed my order, chose my delivery date, and sat, happy, knowing I'd be receiving deliciousness soon enough.  Sadly, Halloween, my delivery date, came and went with no cupcakes. The next day arrived and the same thing. Two days later my cupcakes arrived. I must say, though, Shari's Berries kept me up to date on my order through email, and confirmed that my shipment had been picked up and would arrive on the planned delivery date, I'm assuming the delay took place on UPS' part.
So, Friday, I rip into my box, found three containers of cupcakes and eagerly bit into a salted caramel ..I was surprisingly disappointed. It was frozen, which I should have considered since it had been packed with frozen packs. So, I decided to let the cupcakes thaw out a bit and enjoy them later. Later comes and I try a red velvet, the icing was nice, the cake was a bit dry. Oh, I must add though, each cupcake is filled with a nice surprise inside, chocolate or caramel, depending on the cupcake...I enjoyed this addition.
Overall, I feel as if maybe the delivery effected my product. The cupcakes were good enough but honestly, I wouldn't have spent $40 on them, especially if I was shipping them for a special occasion and then they turned up two days late.
And yet, the website is visually appealing, easy to navigate with the products broken into different categories and drop down boxes. The selection is large, the pictures capture the size and portion of the product well, and the price is easily displayed with each product. 
So, if you're looking for a high end online bakery that specializes in a variety of treats that can be shipped to any friend or family, you may want to cruise over to Shari's Berries and see what they have in store.

Shoplet Review: IPhone Sleeve and The Big Tag

I was pleasantly surprised to receive within my next shipment from Shoplet.com the Royce Leather iPhone Sleeve and Royce Leather The Big Tag . I had narrow-mindedly assumed all office supplies  consisted of notebook paper and staples, not items like iPhone accessories or luggage tags. But here I sit, corrected, and enjoying my products. :)



The Royce Leather iPhone Sleeve is a sleek, black, leather sleeve that protects your iPhone {as well as Android} smart phone. The simple design snuggly protects your phone, front to back, something most other covers can't offer. And even though the case is snug, it's still quiet simple to get your phone in and out of, and I also love that I can now place my phone in my purse and know that it's protected from all the other items that seemed to float around in there. No more scratches or nicks to my phone, it's safely protected in it's black, leather case. The advantage to this product is protection, the disadvantage, I couldn't see the face of my phone unless I removed it completely from the sleeve. I'll be using this product to store my phone in my purse, bag, or simply when it's resting around the house. The price of this product sells for $11.84 each.  

The Royce Leather The Big Tag is made from soft leather and looks spendid on my daughter's backpack. It has a large window {6"x4"x1/4"} that offers a place to document private information such as your address, phone number, and such in case your bag is ever lost, and a thin leather flap covers the information so that it's not exposed to passer-byers. I didn't feel comfortable placing our street address on my tag but I did put my cell number on the card so in case we ever left her bag anywhere I could be notified. This product sells for $9.30 each. The only disadvantage I saw in this product is that the clip is small and wouldn't latch around all my bags. However, the quality and size are nice and I would still recommend this product to anyone who'd like an idification tag for a bag. Again, thanks to Shoplet.com for these great items!

Weekend Review: Farm Rich - Delicious Made Simple

With Summer quickly approaching, school about to be out, and soccer practice and games every time I blink, it can get a bit frantic at our house when it comes to dinner time. That's why I was so excited when Farm Rich became a staple in our home.

Now all of those sound absolutely delicious but because I'm doing this review and my most current cuddle bug, Jacob, is lactose intolerant and being the good nursing mom that I am, I can't, don't, and wont eat dairy. So I had to skip on the cheese and instead went with the mushrooms for my food of choice. And let me tell you, I was in no way let down on flavor or quality of these bite size goodies. We baked ours and with my first bite I instantly thought, "restaurant style!" My only recommendation would be that Farm Rich carry their own mushroom sauce to go along with these little treats. That's the only thing I missed. The breading was perfect, not too thick, and the mushrooms were big and juicy. I'm serious, just a great appetizer, side, or snack that carries that awesome focus of Farm Rich - always there for moms, with awesome, easy-to-prepare snacks sure to please the entire family. And don't just take my word for it, go out and pick up your own bag of family goodness!

My Style: Fresh Produce Review {Fashion}

As a Mom I'm always on the look out for cute clothes for my kids. So I always get excited whenever a clothing company contacts me to review their outfits. I mean who doesn't love getting free adorable kid's clothes, right?!!

Well, just imagine how this Mom of 4 felt when I received an email from an adult and children's clothing store with the offer of reviewing one their products? I was thrilled. Momma was getting a new look! Fresh Produce is a fun, stylish, clothing store offering girls and women high quality products including womens' tops , clothes for spring , and basic dresses . And, they ship to over 200 countries so women outside the US can enjoy their products as well. So I surfed around on their site, enjoying the look of all the outfits, trying to find the most perfect one to match my style. I finally decided on the Float Above Top in the color of Cool Breeze . I must admit, I had a really hard time deciding on which size to pick. Since I'm still working on getting my pre-baby body back and I'm nursing {this causes the girls to be a bit larger than usual}, I was torn on which size to get since I'm in between sizes at the moment. So I contacted a respresentative from Fresh Produce to discuss sizing and she was extremely helpful. She reminded me of the sizing chart, which is located easily on each page of the website, and reassured me that if the product didn't fit I could always return it for a different size. I was then able to order with confidence.

I received my top within a week or so of placing my order and instantly ripped open the packaging to reveal a gorgeous product. The color is amazing. I love how soft the blue is yet very vibrant. The top is well made, soft and breatheable, yet I was actually surprised by the weight of it, it's certainly not a thin material, again simply reaffirming the high quality of this product.

I love the way this top falls and how it even acsents my womanly figure. The front is a little longer than the back but it plays well into the style. The material also flows well and doesn't clinge which I think ever woman will agree this is a huge plus, unless you're sporting a six pack of abs, you need a nice top to highlight the sensual and yet help hide the small abudnace areas. Overall, I am extremely happy with the quality as well as the style. The price was a little higher than what I usually pay for a top {$64} but since this product is so well made and so versatile, I think it's a great investment. I will be wearing this out to eat with my Hubs, shopping on the weekends, out with the girls, and even to church. And honestly, with the way it feels, I'll probably simply wear it around the house, enjoying the feel of wearing something beautiful and yet so comfortable. I definitely plan on ording from Fresh Produce again for my work clothes {I'm a teacher} as well as simply updating my wardrobe with their beautiful aray of clothing.
